Bolt is surely the most iconic stool in the collection. Its unique silhouette is easily recognizable with its four sturdy wooden legs elegantly held together by a metal ring. Bolt is a paradox: both brutal and elegant, it intrigues at first glance and then convinces with the comfort of its seat.Bolt originally formed part of the Marginal Notes exhibition, a “creative happening” led by Note Design

Studio in 2010. The concept of the event was to put into production the sketches and impossible objects automatically drawn in the margins of the creative team’s notebooks, no matter how crazy they were. After numerous prototypes to turn a sculpture into a comfortable piece of furniture, the artisans of La Chance and Note Design Studio finally created the stool, which would become one of the brand’s signature pieces, even winning the Wallpaper Design Award the following year.

Design Studio is a collective of architects, graphic designers, and product designers founded in 2008 in Sweden. Their first furniture collection was presented in 2010 at the Marginal Exhibition, where the colorful and sculptural forms showcased inaugurated the identity of Note, which is now a major figure in contemporary Nordic design. Their style combines the elegant simplicity of Nordic design with a playful, almost naive identity.
