I am a mother, a daughter, a wife, a homemaker, a glass artist, a gardener. I am blessed.

I live where Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion meet – counties filled with Welsh legend and staggering scenery.

From the Cardigan coast to the Preseli hills, from the Black Mountain to Skomer island, I am constantly surrounded by some of the most beautiful places in the world, which fill me with inspiration and creative energy.

I have always loved glass and my journey with it is constantly evolving. My current range of jewellery, dishes ,hangings and freestanding panels grew out of experimentation with the abilities of my kiln.

In glass I have found a medium that I love. It is its vibrancy that appeals to me, the colours you can add to it to make it sing, the way it plays with light, the way no two pieces are ever the same after a firing.

Have you ever looked beneath the surface of a pond and seen into the depths of what seemed to be a flat surface ? By layering up several pieces of glass, along with metal foils and powders, I aim to achieve a similar sense of depth in my work.

It is an almost alchemical reaction taking place as the glass changes from a solid state to liquid and then back to solid again. I love the thrill of excitement as the kiln door is opened for the first time after a firing and I can peek in at the cooling glass and see how it has been transformed.
