Jon Bull - Céramiste

All my work is created on the wheel, individually thrown and always based around a vessel. Although each piece could fall comfortably within the parameters of functional it is not meant to be used but to be looked upon in the same way as painting or sculpture.

I call myself a potter but consider what I create to be art.

My goal is for the finished piece to evoke a sense of Preciousness, Grandeur and flamboyance, value and worth.

I have varied influences including classical ceramics and Greek vases, Chess pieces and various types of armour. All these ideas and sources manifest themselves with my intention to create some thing that is machined, mechanical, precision engineered and ultimately modern.
